Job description
Business operations design & ownership Design, document and continuously improve end-to-end business processes across lead & opportunity management, portfolio planning, deal closure, delivery readiness and credit issuance. Define clear stage gates between Commercial, Product & Portfolio Operations to ensure sellable and deliverable products at scale.
CRM, tools & data infrastructure: Lead a small team to configure, maintain and evolve these systems; define data standards and ensure data quality across all commercial workflows.
Build and maintain routines and dashboards that integrate sales pipeline, advisory demand, product roadmap and sourcing pipeline to provide forward‑looking views on demand, supply, portfolio utilization and gaps; inform prioritization and sourcing decisions.
Lead the setup of a customer‑facing digital delivery platform that orchestrates order status, milestone tracking and credit issuance.
Partner with Finance to align process and data on e.g. order‑to‑cash, billing/invoicing or revenue recognition where relevant.
Continuous improvement & scaling: Identify bottlenecks in commercial operations and drive innovation, automation and standardization. Pilot and roll out new processes and tools that further enable us to scale, improve information availability, accuracy and flow, and manage complexity
Cross-functional facilitation: Act as the backbone between our Market and Product team. Ensure that commercial needs are reflected in product and portfolio decisions and that new supply and products are ready to be sold and delivered.
Job requirements
Education & experience: Excellent academic record in a relevant field (e.g., Business/Finance, Economics, Engineering) and 5–8 years’ work experience in a fast-paced, analytical environment (e.g., Implementation Consulting, Scale-up, Startup or trading firm).
Commercial operations background: Experience in product management, sales operations, revenue operations, commercial excellence or a similar role with exposure to demand/supply topics, pipeline management and forecasting.
Tools & systems: Hands-on with CRM (ideally Salesforce) and ERP (e.g., SAP); strong Excel/Google Sheets. Comfortable translating requirements into system configurations, data models and reports. Experience with customer facing platforms and/or finance integrations (ordertocash, invoicing) is a plus.
Analytical & structured working style: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear processes, guardrails and dashboards. Comfortable setting stagegates and defining what “ready to sell/deliver” means.
Business judgment & prioritization: Proven ability to weigh tradeoffs—where to invest for scale vs. remain flexible/scrappy—and to sequence work for maximum business impact under constraints.
Stakeholder management & communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Product & Portfolio Operations. Comfortable challenging and aligning different perspectives.
People leadership: Experience leading or mentoring team members; playercoach mindset with readiness to take ownership of a small team from day one.
Mindset: Passion for sustainability and climate action; pragmatic, hands-on and experimental working style. Bias to action, continuous improvement and enabling scale without overengineering.

Salary: At Climeworks, salary ranges are assigned to a job based on the level of seniority and the location specific market median of similar jobs according to external benchmark surveys. Individual compensation depends on your skills, experience, and the value you bring to the team.
Formalities:
This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we ask that you work onsite at least three days per week.
The percentage in the job title means flexibility – choose full-time or part-time based on what works for you.
