Intern in Business Process (100%)

    • Opfikon, Zurich, Switzerland
  • Operations

Job description

  • Operations Development: You will play an important role in defining how to operate the largest Direct Air Capture plants in the world in the most efficient way. You will work on high-priority projects to support the scale-up journey at Climeworks.

  • Business Process: You will build a world-class management system and business process model(BPM) that governs how every part of Climeworks operates. You will map processes, document what exists, and engage with the wider teams to design what’s next. You will be empowered to challenge the status-quo, and shape the future of our operations.

  • Company-wide Scope: You will be in a unique position to learn in depth how Climeworks is structured as a business, covering all business units, functions and departments. You will be involved in discussions involving each of our end-to-end value streams, gaining an extensive oversight of all activities in Climeworks.

  • Collaboration with Partners: You will work closely with colleagues across all departments and will have exposure to leaders in every business unit. Your role will be to understand how they work, and translate this information into process flows, creating new procedural documents.

  • Communication & Presentation: You will communicate results, findings, and observations clearly and concisely to peers, and present them in business reviews. You will serve as a collaborator and advisor on projects aimed at process optimization and operational development, and contribute to strategic initiatives to scale DAC technology.

Job requirements

  • Experience: You are currently enrolled in, or have recently completed a bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or other related fields of study. Experience in corporate management, quality management, or audit/compliance will be a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with business process modelling, quality management systems, or legal and compliance will be a plus.

  • Working Style: You are proactive, innovative, and collaborative. You can work across disciplines and support others in their activities. You are looking for a challenge, and are not afraid of taking risks and trying out new things.

  • Language: English is the working language at Climeworks – no other language skills are required.

  • Availability: You are available for a 6-month internship with a start date preferably in February 2026 or shortly thereafter.

Our promise: At Climeworks, you are accepted for who you are, and we are committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply – regardless of background, identity, or experience. Studies show that women and individuals from minority backgrounds often only apply for jobs when they meet 100% of the listed criteria. If this sounds like you, don’t hold back. If you think you’d make a great fit for this role, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t check every single box. Let’s tackle one of humankind’s greatest challenges together.
